Psalms 57:7-10

Biblical Context

Psalm 57:7-10 speaks of a heart fixed in worship. It models an inner conviction that transforms outward praise.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your heart fixed is a decision of consciousness you make in the I AM, not a mere mood. The word 'awake' to your glory is a summons to let the inner faculties—memory, imagination, feeling—rise in harmony with mercy that reaches the heavens and truth that travels to the clouds. The psaltery and the harp are the vibrational tones of thought and emotion; by assuming you are already in the praise you seek, you awaken them and hear the inner music of your world. When you declare, 'I will praise thee among the people,' you are not waiting for approval from others, you are confirming the state by which others are drawn. Mercy is great because you refuse to narrow your seeing, and truth is abundant because you remain faithful to the I AM. The inner Psalmist in you addresses the same I AM: do not fear lack; fix the heart and let spontaneous worship flow into every corner of life. Practice: assume the feeling of being permanently praised; see yourself singing now and live from that already-existing glory.

Practice This Now

Practice: assume you are the I AM, fix your heart in mercy and truth, and feel yourself already praising. See yourself awake early, singing among the nations, and let that inner song shape your day.
