Netless Path to Freedom

Biblical Context
The verse speaks of enemies setting snares and pits, yet those devices backfire on the plotters, while the speaker's soul bows in humility and trust, awaiting vindication.
Neville's Inner Vision
That line about nets and pits speaks to your inner position, not to a mere plot of others. They have prepared a net for my steps; this shows how I have identified with a belief that my path can be entangled by hostile intention. My soul is bowed down; that is the old posture of fear and limitation I have consented to in imagination. Yet the digged pit before me, in the midst whereof they are fallen themselves, reveals a simple law: the trap they lay is a trap of their own mind, and when I awaken to my true identity as the I AM, the effect reverses. The pit vanishes as I refuse to participate in the drama, for I am not the one who is trapped; I am the awareness that observes thought and choice. The Selah invites a pause, a cleansing breath, and a choice to return to the inner witness. From this state, vindication is not a struggle with others but a transformation of the state of consciousness from which events arise, so I move through the scene with confidence and ease.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and repeat, 'I am the I AM; no net can bind this inner freedom.' Then revise the sense of threat by turning the imagined path into a clear open road, and feel the relief as if this new state has already occurred.
