Psalms 56:9-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 56 in context

Scripture Focus

9When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
10In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
11In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Psalms 56:9-11

Biblical Context

The psalmist states that when he calls on God, his enemies retreat because God is for him. He resolves to praise God's Word and trust in the Lord, unmoved by what others can do.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the instant you cry to the I AM, your enemies turn back, for God is for you—your awareness shielding you from fear. I hear the call to praise not some external decree but the Word of God made alive within your own consciousness. When you place your trust in the I AM, you are unafraid of what man can do, because you are held by the eternal Presence that you are. See belief as inner defense: attention guided by truth, doubt dissolved, and perception re-inspired. Let every thought of threat be revised into the assurance that you are guarded by the One who is for you. In that state, you awaken to the truth that you live and move and have your being in God, and the world reflects your inner alignment.

Practice This Now

Assume the state 'God is for me' now; revise fear into faith and feel it-real by repeating the I AM presence until it becomes your lived experience.
