Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the I AM, Psalm 52:5 is not a threat but a map of the inner processes by which a false sense of self is dissolved. The outward language about destruction and exile is symbolic of a decisive shift in consciousness: when a belief in separation or permanence is no longer believed, it is 'destroyed' in the mind. The dwelling place and land of the living represent your surface identity and its stories. To 'pluck out' the old self is to yank out the habits, thoughts, and desires that fed that old self, not to punish a person. In Neville’s terms, God is the I AM that feels and imagines; the moment you awaken to your true self, you begin to absence the old self from the inner landscape. Selah invites you to pause and feel the certainty that you can let go of the past without fear, while life remains intact in consciousness. The verse then becomes an invitation to accountability: you are not a victim of external fate but the author of your inner climate.

Close your eyes and assume the I AM is the sole life. Let the old self be dissolved and feel the new self as already real.
