Psalms 51:6-7

Biblical Context

Psalm 51:6-7 speaks of truth desired in the inward parts and of purification that yields wisdom. It calls for turning toward purity and integrity from within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 6 says to my awareness that truth must be treasured in the hidden chambers of consciousness. The I AM within me desires sincerity in the inward dwelling of mind, and when I align with that inner truth, wisdom rises as a natural discernment from within. Verse 7 reveals purification not as a distant rite, but as an inner cleansing I perform through imagination. Hyssop becomes the image I employ to cleanse thought—washing away fear, doubt, and the false self by the conviction that I am already clean in the sight of the one I am. When I declare, I am truth in the inward parts, I am not claiming a future state but claiming the state now; the feeling of cleansing is the feeling of wholeness returning to my awareness. The hidden part then reveals wisdom—the silent knowing that guides perception toward integrity and faithful living. The sense of separation dissolves as I dwell in the I AM, ever clean, ever true, ever guiding. Repentance becomes a turning toward the realization that wholeness is my natural state.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and assume: I am truth in the inward parts; I am clean now. Visualize cleansing with hyssop and feel whiteness fill your inner being, then rest in that purified state.
