Inner Court of Judgment

Psalms 50:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 50 in context

Scripture Focus

4He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Psalms 50:4

Biblical Context

The verse envisions heaven and earth summoned to judge the people; it signals an inner audit of your current state of consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Do not picture a courtroom outside yourself; picture the inner I AM calling the heavens above and the earth beneath to reveal the truth of your present experience. The 'He' is the I AM—your awakened awareness—calling to higher states (the heavens) and to the rooted, practical mind (the earth) to examine what you have accepted as real. The heavens are your ideals, your vision, the light by which you judge; the earth is your current habits, feelings, and circumstances. When the call is made, the 'judgment' is simply the natural alignment that occurs when your inner state matches your conscious assumption. If you feel misalignment, revise that feeling; assume the desired state and feel it as already yours. The verse teaches you that the outer world is the echo of inner assurance. By turning your attention to the I AM and declaring the reality you want, you summon harmony between heaven and earth within, and your life accordingly follows.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and declare, 'I AM that I AM.' Then imagine a radiant light from above reaching down to the earth within you, signaling harmony; dwell in that feeling for a minute.
