Psalms 48:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God; the verse points to a holy, inner sanctuary where worship arises from alignment with divine presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the 'city of our God' and 'mountain of his holiness' point not to geography but to your own field of awareness. Greatness is the nature of the I AM, resident within as your constant, unconditioned consciousness. To praise the LORD is to align your attention with this reality—live as if the divine presence is continually magnified within experience. The mountain is a height of that awareness, a peak you ascend by steadfast belief, from which all impressions are seen as expressions of your state. When you declare, 'Great is the LORD,' you affirm the power by which impressions are formed; your inner city is where decisions, feelings, and perceptions converge. Worship then becomes the practice of remaining in touch with the truth that the I AM is within, that holiness is consistency of inner state, and that unity with the divine is your natural condition. The outer world gleams to reflect your inner sanctuary: people, events, and circumstances gather to echo the majesty you honor within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and inhabit the inner city of God, standing on the mountain of holiness within. Silently declare, I AM, and feel the divine presence saturating your awareness.
