Biblical Context

Psalm 47:3-5 speaks of divine victory: enemies subdued, the inheritance chosen, and God ascending in triumph with a trumpet.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, God is the I AM. The words 'He shall subdue the people under us' become a confession that your awareness quiets fear and discord until they lie beneath the sovereignty of your consciousness. 'He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved' translates to: your true self—the beloved Jacob—selects for you an inheritance of excellence, not by outer fate but by the inner state you cultivate. 'Selah' invites you to rest in this fixed awareness, letting the mind pause and receive the gift. 'God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet' signifies the ascent of your I AM—the timeless you—rising in victorious confidence, proclaiming possession of the kingdom now. The tone is not conquest of others but the subjugation of appearances by inner certainty; the kingdom appears wherever you maintain the feeling that you are already crowned and loved. Whenever fear or lack arises, return to that inner scene and dwell there until it feels real.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the I AM is crowned now and all fear stands beneath your foot. Dwell in that scene until the feeling of your inheritance and the beloved excellence of Jacob become real in you.
