8Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Psalms 46:8

Biblical Context

The verse invites you to behold the Lord’s works and the desolations He has wrought in the earth. In Neville’s view, these desolations are inward purifications that clear old beliefs to reveal the true I AM.

Neville's Inner Vision

I hear the invitation, not to travel to a distant land, but to witness the creative acts of my own consciousness. The works of the LORD are the movements of I AM, the steady awareness that rearranges the very fabric of my world. When desolations appear in the earth, they are not punishment but purges of stale patterns, the shaking of the ceilings of belief until the room is spacious enough for a new sense of self. In this sense, the outer desolations mirror inner revisions: what falls away in form is simply a clinging to a former story. By accepting this, I refuse to blame an external judge and instead align with the truth that imagination fashions reality. Therefore I can regard every uprooting as a sign that the divine purpose is at work within me—not against me, but through me, removing what no longer serves my I AM. The moment I align with that being, the world shifts to reflect a fresh realization of power, mercy, and providence.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and observe your inner landscape, imagining the desolations dissolving into light. Feel the renewed sense of I AM shaping a new, stable reality.
