Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm speaks of the inner self as a gracious, sovereign figure blessed forever. It centers on truth, righteousness, and a reign of grace over imagined enemies.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Psalm 45:2-7 you discover the inner sovereign seated on the throne of your heart. The beauty and grace spoken of are the living reality of your awareness when you choose to imagine from the I AM. Grace is poured into thy lips because you decide to speak from truth rather than fear. Gird your sword upon thy thigh—your discernment activates through truth, meekness, and righteousness, and your right hand shall teach you terrible things as you learn to balance power with mercy. Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee—these are the thoughts and imaginal patterns that pierce belief in external foes, dissolving them. Your throne, O God, is forever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre—your inner authority rests on steady righteousness. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, hath anointed you with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Stay in that state and the outward world will bow to the inner royal realization.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume the feeling of ruling from your inner throne, and declare softly, 'I am grace; I rule my world with truth and righteousness.' Hold that state until it feels real.
