Psalms 44:15

Biblical Context

Verse 44:15 speaks of ongoing confusion and visible shame, signaling an inner weather of the mind that longs for a shift in consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Do you see that confusion and shame are not 'out there' but the inner weather of a state you have momentarily assumed? The Psalmist's confession is your invitation to awaken to the I AM that underlies all appearances. The I AM is not a person but the awareness through which every image arises; when you believe you are the feeling of confusion, that belief becomes your world. Therefore, you must revise from the root: assume you are the I AM, and that this imagined confusion belongs to a dream you are waking from. Hold the feeling of the I AM as your base, and see the mind's scenes change, the face's expression soften, the crowd of thoughts recede. The moment you refuse to identify with confusion, you are back at the source—the still, silent awareness that is always present. Then the outside world will reflect the inner revision: opportunities, clarity, and a countenance unmoved by guilt.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: close your eyes, breathe, and revise the current moment by declaring, 'I am the I AM; confusion dissolves into awareness.' Feel the truth of this statement in your chest as a tangible heat or light.
