Psalms 43:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 43 in context

Scripture Focus

2For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psalms 43:2-4

Biblical Context

Psalm 43:2-4 presents a shift from despair to a conscious ascent where light and truth lead the soul to God's sacred dwelling, resulting in joyous worship.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the pondering mind, the Psalm seems to describe a separation, but in the Neville pattern it is your own state of consciousness stepping back into recognition. 'God of my strength' is your I AM, the inner stamina that remains when appearances suggest loss. Mourning is but a belief in separation; the answer, 'send out thy light and thy truth,' is your command to illumine the scene with awareness that sees through illusion. Let light and truth lead you to the holy hill and the tabernacles within—a symbolic ascent into a quiet, established consciousness where gratitude and praise unfold. Then you go to the altar of God, for the altar is the point of contact in your own heart, where joy is 'exceeding' because you know the I AM is present. Upon the harp you praise, not for external results but for the felt reality of divine presence. In this light, the 'enemy' loses its grip as you dwell in the truth that you are always joined to God, the source of strength and praise.

Practice This Now

Close the eyes, declare 'I am the I AM.' Then assume you are already standing on your inner holy hill, invite light and truth to lead you, and feel the joy of communion as you silently praise.
