Inner Light Of Psalms 41
Psalms 41:4-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David pleads for mercy and healing, facing slander, betrayal, and fear. He asserts that steadfast integrity before God sustains him and keeps his foe from triumphing.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the psalm, the Lord is not a distant deity but the I AM in you—the awareness that never leaves your side. The cry 'be merciful unto me, heal my soul' becomes a choice of consciousness to revise its own state, not a petition to change someone outside. You choose to live as though forgiveness and restoration are already true. The enemies and their whispers are not separate beings but thoughts born of fear and the habit of separation. The 'evil disease' they speak of is the belief that you are less than divine; when you refuse to identify with that belief, the disease loses its grip and you rise in vitality. The 'familiar friend' who betrayed you points to the moment you trusted a doorway that leads you away from your truth; yet you affirm that you are upheld by integrity and set before the face of God—the light of awareness—forever. The result is clear: dwelling in this inner posture, the outer world ceases to triumph over you, and you walk in the quiet certainty of your true self.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling: I am healed and upheld by the I AM. Revise every doubtful thought until that conviction feels real.
