Scripture Focus

7Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
Psalms 40:7-9

Biblical Context

The speaker confirms an inner calling and a life guided by divine will. The lines claim the heart's law and a public witness of righteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Know this: I am the author of my life, and the volume of the book is my own consciousness. When I say 'Lo, I come,' I awaken to the fact that the world and its scenes are the outward moving of inner states. My 'delight to do thy will' is the joyous alignment of desire with the divine order within me, the law that is written on my heart, not external rules pressed upon me. The 'great congregation' is not a crowd but my own conscience made public; I preach righteousness by living from the state of awareness I already am. I do not refrain my lips because I trust the I AM within, who knows me and knows what I choose to express. Therefore, every outward event is but a reflection of my inner decision, and discipline in speech and action follows from this inner law. I stand in the certainty that God is my consciousness, and I am free to speak and act from that truth.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare: I am the author of my life. Feel the inner book writing your day and align with the divine will by repeating, 'I delight to do thy will' while sensing the law within your heart.
