Scripture Focus

3And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
Psalms 40:3

Biblical Context

God places a new song of praise in the speaker's mouth. This new tone signals a turning inner state that invites others to trust in the LORD.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the psalm you are told that a new song is put into your mouth by the living I AM. This is not an ordinary tune, but a shift in your state of awareness: praise flows from a consciousness that already trusts in God rather than seeks it. When you refuse to identify with lack and instead acknowledge that you are the presence in whom God dwells, the song appears as tangible evidence of your new nature. The many who see it are the minds and situations in your life that used to tremble at absence; their fear becomes reverence as they perceive a change in you, and their trust gathers to the LORD within you. You are not petitioning God to arrive; you are witnessing God already here as your awareness. The joy and public witness described are the inevitable outward sign of an inward state: true worship consists of resting in the I AM, trusting that the LORD is the substance of your life. Practice turning toward that inner reality, and the world will reflect it back as faith.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already singing the new song of praise. Revise any lingering doubt by declaring, 'I am the new song of praise; the LORD is within me now,' and feel it real until it becomes your lived experience.
