From Pit to Praise Within
Psalms 40:2-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm describes being pulled from a horrible pit and miry clay, set on a rock, and given a new song of praise that leads others to trust in the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed as inner movement, the pit and the miry clay are states of consciousness. God is not a distant event but the I AM within you lifting you up, setting your feet upon a rock, and steadying your going. The 'new song' is the inner speech of praise you begin to embody—an alteration of your inner atmosphere from fear to confidence. When you inhabit that revised state, you become the observer who knows you are already established in your goings, not begging for favor but recognizing it as your natural right. The line that 'many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD' becomes a clue that your transformation broadcasts outward: others respond to the steadfastness of your inner posture as they perceive the divine presence you now inhabit. The mechanism is simple: assume the truth of the lift, revise your self-belief to match it, and feel it real until the new vibration settles in your nervous system. The outer scene then attends your inner reality, confirming renewal and true worship as a daily experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine the I AM lifting you from the pit, placing your feet on a solid rock. Then declare a new song of praise in your mind and feel it as real; carry that state into your day.
