Inner Joy: The LORD Magnified

Psalms 40:16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 40 in context

Scripture Focus

16Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Psalms 40:16

Biblical Context

The verse invites all who seek God to rejoice in Him and to declare His salvation; it is a call to continual praise of the LORD.

Neville's Inner Vision

All that you call seeking is the movement of your own consciousness turning toward the I AM. When you declare, the LORD be magnified, you are not begging a distant deity; you are re-centering attention on the one presence you are—the living awareness that fills every cell. Rejoicing arises as you acknowledge salvation as your present condition, not some future arrival. Salvation is liberation from limitation by recognizing that God is the atmosphere of your mind, the light in your thoughts, the breath behind your actions. To love thy salvation is to love the immediacy of this awareness, and to speak of the LORD being magnified is to affirm, again and again, that your inner sight is God-sized and never lacking. Do this with consistency and you will find the outer world bending to your inner conviction, because you are not changing the world, you are changing your state of consciousness which shapes it.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, with each breath, assume the feeling that the LORD is magnified in me now. Repeat this quietly until it feels true, then carry the faith into a brief moment of daily activity.
