Inner Sacrifices and Trust
Psalms 4:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse invites us to offer righteous living as a sacrifice and to trust in the LORD; it asks for His light when many doubt what good may come.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your consciousness, the 'sacrifices of righteousness' are not rites but steady acts of alignment: honesty, integrity, compassion, and quiet trust in the I AM that you truly are. To 'put your trust in the LORD' is to yield to the awareness that God is not somewhere distant but the very center of your being. The voices that say, 'Who will shew us any good?' belong to a mind identified with lack; when you answer, you turn inward and affirm, 'I am blessed now, for the good in all forms is my own consciousness.' 'Lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us' becomes a felt visitation of illumination—the sense that your inner state is fully seen, approved, and strengthened by the divine self within. As you abide in that light, your world reflects the harmony of your inner decision. The practice is revision: replace doubt with the certainty of your immediate, inner blessing. The sacrifice is not outward but the decision to dwell in awareness that the LORD is within and that blessing flows from that I AM presence.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the state, 'I am the light of God within me; I am blessed now.' Feel that light filling your mind until it stays with you as your ordinary awareness.
