Inner Peace in Psalm 4
Psalms 4:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Psalm 4:1-8 presents a believer crying out to God, receiving assurance that the righteous are heard, and choosing quiet stillness and trust rather than vanity.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here you are, the one who calls within, declaring that the I AM hears and enlarges you in distress. The psalm is not history but a map of your inner state: the outer cry becomes an inner conviction that the Lord has separated to you a state of godliness, a condition the I AM recognizes as yours now. When you acknowledge that the voice you call on is the voice of your own consciousness, the fear loosens and the mind grows spacious; you are no longer bending under events but rising above them in awareness. Stand in awe of your own stillness, and let the inner dialogue on your bed be a quiet communion, not with fear, but with your own heart that knows the truth. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness as acts of alignment: doing what truth reveals and trusting the Lord as the steady horizon of perception. When many say otherwise, imagine the light of thy countenance shining upon you as a renewed sense of safety, joy, and possession of your right state. Thus you sleep in peace because you live in the security of the I AM.
Practice This Now
Before sleep, adopt the assumption that I am enlarged by the distress I faced and that the Lord hears me now. Feel the relief as present and let that certainty cradle you into restful sleep.
