Biblical Context
The psalmist asks to know his end and the measure of days, revealing human frailty. He sees earthly wealth as vanity and warns that riches are not guaranteed.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take the verse as a guide to inner geology: the end and the measure of days are not external milestones but the shape of your inner state. You are the I AM, the ever-present awareness, and the boundary you name as 'end' is a boundary you have drawn in your mind. When you see that the days are a handbreadth long, you are not measuring time so much as recognizing how small you have allowed your consciousness to behave. The vanity spoken of is not about people on a calendar but about the belief that riches and security lie outside your being. In reality, every man’s best state appears as vanity only when you forget that wealth is a byproduct of alignment with your inner truth. The true abundance comes from recognizing that you are always known, supported, and provided-for by the I AM. By shifting your assumption—feeling the presence of abundance as already real—you loosen the grip of fear and disquiet and let the outer world reflect the inner peace.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I am end, I am abundance now. Let that inner assumption rest as if it were already real, and watch the outer concerns shift to reflect your inner state.
