Inner Salvation, Strength Within

Psalms 37:39-40 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 37 in context

Scripture Focus

39But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Psalms 37:39-40

Biblical Context

The righteous are saved by the LORD; He is their strength in trouble, and He delivers them because they trust in Him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Look at the verse as a description of your inner state. The righteous are those states of consciousness that align with the LORD within—the I AM you are. Salvation is not a distant rescue but the recognition that the Source within you is the strength that sustains you in trouble. The LORD helps and delivers when you trust Him, which is to say when you turn from fear to the Presence you already inhabit. Your trust is the doorway through which deliverance flows; it becomes a feeling of safety, a knowing that the Presence is your protection. The wicked are merely thoughts and conditions that seem to threaten; faced in the light of inner awareness, they vanish. Implore nothing new; remind yourself that God is I AM—the same power that created worlds is the energy behind your breath, your step, your next moment. When you dwell there, you are saved, and deliverance unfolds as natural as dawn.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and say, 'I am the LORD within; I am strength in trouble.' Then imagine stepping into a chamber of light where deliverance already stands to greet you, and feel the relief as fear dissolves.
