Inward Waiting, Exalted Inheritance

Psalms 37:34 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 37 in context

Scripture Focus

34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Psalms 37:34

Biblical Context

The verse invites patience in aligning with the divine within and steadfastness in that inner path; as this inner state endures, one is exalted to inhabit inner abundance, and outer changes follow as the old patterns fade.

Neville's Inner Vision

To wait on the LORD is to wait on your I AM—the steadfast awareness you are. Keep his way means align your imagination with the end you seek, not the trouble you fear. The exaltation to inherit the land is the inner rise into a state of plenitude, a kingdom established in consciousness. When the mind clings to fear or failure, the ‘wicked’—doubt, lack, and old habits—seem to prevail; yet these dissolve as you dwell in the awareness of your already-realized end. This is not external timing but a shift in consciousness: the world mirrors the inner state once you persist in the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Your obedience is to remain faithful to the inner law, and your reward is the appearance of the land you already carry within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you already inhabit the land you desire. Repeat a simple conviction like, 'I am exalted in my inner land,' while vividly recalling the scene of your perfected state for a few minutes, then rest in that feeling for a moment before continuing with your day.
