Read Psalms 37 in context

Scripture Focus

20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Psalms 37:20

Biblical Context

The psalm says the wicked will perish and their power fade away like smoke.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the theater of your consciousness, the wicked are not outside enemies, but beliefs you have entertained as permanent. The verse speaks of those enemies of the LORD as fat consumed, dissolved into smoke—a poetic image for thoughts and habits born of fear that must vanish when confronted by the I AM you truly are. When you assume the state of perfect righteousness and align with the authority of the I AM, you witness the inner wind that dries up such beliefs. The outer world will reflect the change, for judgments loosen their grip as the sense of separation dissolves. Do not seek to punish others; instead examine the inner conditions that sustain opposition: fear, grievance, resistance. As you dwell in the certainty of unity with the Divine, the old pages of conflict burn to nothing, like smoke. This is not vengeance but the natural result of consciousness turning toward truth. The Psalm becomes a map for your life: the smoke clears the moment you return to the flame of awareness and rest in the knowing that you are one with God.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and repeat I AM as your only reality. Visualize the so-called wicked beliefs as smoke rising and dissolving into air, while you maintain the feeling of wholeness and uninterrupted awareness.
