I Am and the Grass Withers

Biblical Context
The verse says those who act wickedly are short-lived, their fortunes fading away like grass that is cut down.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the level of consciousness, they are not persons but states of being that seem to thrive in appearance but are lifeless in truth. The statement they shall soon be cut down is not a prophecy about others; it is a description of the temporary nature of attitudes born of fear, envy, or separation. Grass withers when the inner weather changes; under the I AM, all outward fluctuations are merely the moving of images within mind. The presence I AM remains untouched by outward cycles; to cut down the grass is to revise a belief that life is limited to what is seen. When you identify with the inner I AM, you stop feeding the old image; you render its vitality moot. Your imagination can reverse the outer scene by holding to the contrary: you are the I AM, unconditioninged, eternal, and present in this moment. The withering belongs to the old assumption of lack; the renewal comes from abiding in awareness that never ages. Trust the inner reality, and the outer will follow.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I AM, here and now; I choose to cut down the old belief of lack and let the grass wither away in my mental field; imagine your inner sun shining; feel the I AM presence as constant.
