The Righteous Upheld Within
Psalms 37:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse states that the wicked's power is broken. The righteous are upheld by the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this line lie two movements of consciousness. The 'arms of the wicked' are not distant powers but the feverish motions of fear, lack, and accusation in your own mind that pretend to rule your day. When you mistake that inner tumult for reality, the powers of opposition seem strong; when you remember that the I AM is your true ruler, those arms grow weak and break. The LORD upholdeth the righteous is your inner law: the divine Presence holds you steady as you hold it. The 'righteous' is not a moral label but a state of awareness—one that refuses to identify with attack or scarcity. If you dwell in that state, you are kept by grace; the nighttime appearances cannot suspend your peace. Practice the turn: assume the feeling of being upheld by God, see the imagined arm of Providence under you, supporting every step, every breath. As you persist in that assumption, the outer scene aligns with the inner truth: you remain upright, protected, and sustained by the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and revise: I am upheld by the LORD now. Feel a divine support lifting every fear and holding me in grace.
