Psalms 34:4-7

Biblical Context

The psalm proclaims that seeking the LORD brings deliverance from fears. Those who look to Him are lightened and protected by the encamping angel.

Neville's Inner Vision

Seek not a distant God, but the I AM within, your steadfast awareness. When you read I sought the LORD, and He heard me, you are naming a change of state, not a rumor from afar. The fears that once darkened your face are simply thoughts passing through a mind that awakens to its own divine listening. When you look unto Him, you redirect attention to the one consciousness that knows no lack; light rises in your inner field, and your face shows the quiet courage of realization. The angel of the LORD encampment around those who fear Him becomes your inner guard, a circle of awakened presence that cannot be moved by outside appearances. The cry of the poor man becomes a soundless, grateful acknowledgment that you are heard, and that every trouble dissolves in the light of recognition. This is salvation as a revision of self, not begging for mercy, but recognizing you are the mercy, protected by the presence you already are.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume the state of being surrounded by divine protection now. Feel the fear melt as you affirm I am kept by the inner presence.
