Psalms 33:7-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 33 in context

Scripture Focus

7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
8Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
Psalms 33:7-9

Biblical Context

The psalm speaks of God's sovereign power to gather the sea's waters, heap them, store depth, and compel all creation to awe; it points to the power of a spoken decree.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold, the psalm is not about geography but about your inner state. The waters are restless thoughts; the heap is the unity you form in consciousness; the depth is your hidden power stored within. When it says, 'He spake, and it was done,' know that a single word from the I AM can instantly align form with your inner assumption. You are the speaker, the decree, and the universe that answers is the outer world conforming to your inner word. The fear of the earth is the natural response of a life not yet in harmony with that inner decree; to stand in awe is to recognize the truth that you are one with the divine order. Center your attention on the I AM and revise any thought contradicting the state you intend to realize. In that inward mercy, the outer events begin to conform, proving that God is the I AM within you and the source of every creation.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit in silence and assume you are the decree. Gather the waters of your life into a heap in your imagination and say, 'I AM the decree, and it stands fast,' then feel the reality of this inner order.
