Imagination: Our Shield of Mercy
Psalms 33:16-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Power from armies and horses cannot save a person. True deliverance comes from the Lord's mercy and the trust of those who fear Him, waiting on Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
See these lines as a map of your inner world, not a historical pull between kings and armies. External strength cannot deliver you; the images of a host or a mighty man point to your misidentification with force. The eye of the LORD resting on those who fear Him and hope in His mercy marks a change in your awareness, where you choose mercy over reliance on externals. Deliverance from death and sustenance in famine refer to states of consciousness—your inner life kept alive by the recognition that the divine eye is upon you. Your soul waits for the LORD, a deliberate turning toward the I AM as helper and shield. When the heart rejoices in His holy name, you have aligned with mercy as your foundation. Let mercy rest upon you as you place your trust there, and you will experience salvation in the present moment.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state of I AM as your shield. Feel mercy wrapping you like light, and revise fear by whispering, 'The Lord is my help and shield'; rest in that feeling for several minutes.
