Biblical Context

The psalm declares that God looks from heaven to see every person, and from his dwelling he watches all inhabitants. He shapes the human heart and considers all actions.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the 'Lord looking from heaven' not as a distant judgment but as your own I AM watching your inner theatre. The place of habitation is the center of your consciousness; from there awareness surveys every thought, motive, and impulse. 'He fashioneth their hearts alike' means your inner disposition is formed by the images and feelings you dwell upon. The heart you think you have is the heart you practice; thus, the inner state fashions every outward choice. 'He considereth all their works' shows that your outer life arises from your private state of consciousness. Therefore, nothing outside you dictates your fate; you are the creator of your world through the quality of awareness you maintain. If you desire change, do not chase external events but revise the inner assumption you hold about who you are. In this light, the whole of Psalms 33 invites you to become aware of your own processing, to affirm that your heart is being formed by your present image. When you dwell in the I AM, your inner heart aligns with your intention, and the world will echo that alignment.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place your hand on your chest, and assume the feeling of your desired state as already true. Silently repeat, I AM the I AM, shaping my heart to match this image.
