Read Psalms 31 in context

Scripture Focus

14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Psalms 31:14-15

Biblical Context

The psalmist declares trust in the Lord and declares God as their God. They commit their times to divine hand and ask for deliverance from enemies.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of this psalm as a doorway into the inner state. 'I trusted in thee' is not a plea for external help, but the recognition of your own I AM as the sovereign governor of all occurrences. 'Thou art my God' declares the inner identification: you are not worshipping a distant deity, you are aligning with the consciousness that is God in you. 'My times are in thy hand' is the realization that time itself obeys a law of awareness. What you call 'enemies' are the residual mental programs—fear, doubt, lack—that seem to persecute you only as long as you accept them. The deliverance spoken of is the shift in your inner state, where the world rearranges to reflect your faith. When you hold to the conviction that you exist under Providence and that every moment is governed by an intelligent, loving I AM, you stop begging and start governing your experience. Your job is to maintain that inner posture until it feels real in the felt sense, and the outer circumstances follow, aligning with your inner certainty.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, say, 'I am held by the I AM; my times are in divine hands,' and feel the truth as a present sensation. Visualize delivering outcomes already mine, and release the sense of pursuit by choosing the inner certainty.
