Read Psalms 28 in context

Scripture Focus

2Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
Psalms 28:2

Biblical Context

The psalmist asks God to hear his pleas as he cries out and lifts his hands toward the divine oracle.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your own consciousness, hear the 'voice of supplications' as the movement of a state of awareness seeking alignment. The words are not to God out there, but the I AM responding to itself. When you 'cry unto thee' and 'lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle,' you are describing a posture of attentive surrender—an inner act that changes the atmosphere of thought. The 'holy oracle' is the inner guidance that speaks when you consent to be governed by your own divine I AM. Neville teaches that prayer is not begging but assuming: you inform your consciousness of the state you desire until it feels real. The cry becomes a signal that the inner kingdom has heard you and is delivering it as a fact in you. The lifting of hands expresses worship and readiness, a readiness to receive the truth that God is the I AM you are. Do not seek from without; return to your own consciousness as the source of all hearing and answer. In this moment you are heard because you are the I AM, and the oracle answers from within.

Practice This Now

Practice: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume you are already heard; repeat 'I am heard' while lifting your hands toward the inner oracle, feeling the wish fulfilled.
