19Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Psalms 25:19

Biblical Context

The psalmist faces many enemies who hate him with cruel hatred. Their hatred marks the trial he endures.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe that the enemies are not outside you but states of consciousness that arise to test your claim of I AM. When you hear, 'consider mine enemies,' you are invited to watch the inner theatre as you would the weather in a dream, without surrendering to it. The many enemies signify the countless mental positions opposing your realized state; their 'cruel hatred' is the resistance of old thoughts clinging to lack. Remember: you are not threatened by them; you are the I AM, the field of awareness in which all scenes unfold. By claiming the I AM and treating the hostile thoughts as thoughts to be revised, you shift the inner atmosphere. Begin from where you stand and revise the scene: assume that the I AM is aware of you, surrounding you, and that you already live in peace, safety, and abundance. Feel that inner reality now and let the hostility fall away as if melted by light. The more you dwell in that mood, the less the enemies govern the day, and perseverance plants hope into undeniable present certainty.

Practice This Now

Assume the I AM is present now, and revise every hostile thought into a neutral or loving inner voice. Feel it real that you are already at peace, protected, and prosperous.
