Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 25:11-14 speaks of forgiveness for the speaker's faults and the promise that reverence for the Lord will guide one in the path to choose. It also links ease of heart, the inheritance of life, and the secret of God's covenant to those who fear Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this psalm invites you to recognize pardon as a state of consciousness, not a transaction from without. For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. This is your I AM declaring, 'I am the name by which all is named; I pardon myself because I am'—not because someone outside forgives you, but because your very awareness is the forgiving presence. What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. In the atmosphere of reverence, the mind is taught the way to the next right action, not by fear but by alignment with the inner ruler. His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. When you dwell in that reverent state, the sense of ease spreads through your nervous system and relationships; your living becomes an expression of the covenant already formed in your consciousness. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. The secret is not hidden from you but revealed within as your own awareness choosing harmony.
Practice This Now
Assume, now, the identity: I AM forgiven and free; feel this pardon as a living current within me. Then dwell in reverent quiet, imagining the Lord teaching me the right way and my soul at ease.
