Psalms 24:1-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 24 in context

Scripture Focus

1The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Psalms 24:1-10

Biblical Context

Psalm 24 declares that the earth belongs to the Lord and that access to His holy place comes through clean hands and a pure heart. It culminates with a call to lift the gates so the King of Glory may enter.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the earth and its fullness are your inner Lord’s image; creation is the order planted in your awareness. To ascend the hill of the LORD is to rise in awareness, to stand in the holy place is to dwell in your true self. Clean hands and a pure heart are not mere morals looked at from without; they are the conditions of clear perception—no vanity, no deceit in your ritual of thought. When you maintain that purity, the blessing comes, and righteousness flows from the God of salvation, the obedient response of your consciousness to its own truth. This is the generation that seeks Him, that seeks thy face within. Then lift up your heads; open the gates of your inner city; welcome the King of Glory, the Lord of hosts, into your awareness. He is strong and mighty, not outside you but within your I AM. Selah.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: sit in stillness and declare I AM. Feel the gates lifting as you breathe in, and invite the King of Glory to enter as you breathe out.
