Psalms 23:1-2

Biblical Context

The text presents God as a loving inner guide who provides all needs and gently leads the soul to rest. It invites trust that sufficiency and peace arise from alignment with that inner presence.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, in this verse the shepherd is not distant; he is your own I AM, the awakened state that already provides. The LORD is my shepherd means I am the one who tends my thoughts and feelings with care, never letting the inner consciousness wander in lack. When it says I shall not want, accept that the current state of awareness is already complete, and nothing outside can mold it unless you consent. The green pastures and still waters are inner dispositions—calm nourishment for the mind and clarity of perception. To dwell there, you must assume the feeling of being led and provided for by that inner guide. Practically, revise any sense of lack by affirming, I am tended, I am secure, I lack nothing, and imagine your mind resting in lush quiet and flowing serenity. As you persist, the outer experiences align with the inner posture, because imagination creates reality. The shepherd walks beside you in present awareness; your job is to stay conscious of that presence and feel the relief it brings.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and assume the feeling: I am tended and provided for now. Repeat, I am led by the I AM to rest and abundance, and hold that sense with steady breaths for a minute.
