Bones That Look Upon Me

Psalms 22:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 22 in context

Scripture Focus

17I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
Psalms 22:17

Biblical Context

The speaker feels exposed, as if every bone is a witness to his pain. He hears the stares of others as a tangible inner reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 22:17 speaks through the body, but in truth you are not a victim of exposure—you are the I AM that witnesses exposure and makes it real. The bones are only the form your mind wears to tell itself a story. When you interpret the gaze of others as a matter of fact, you align with lack; when you decide that your inner state is intact and loved, the gaze softens and disappears into clarity. The key is to hold the conviction that you are already seen by the One Self that you are; this is the feeling of the wish fulfilled. The “stare” becomes a signal that you have an opportunity to revise, not a verdict about your worth. Practice turning your attention from the outer scene to the inner declarative I AM, and insist that your consciousness creates visible harmony. In this, suffering becomes perseverance’s doorway: you are not broken; you are being invited to awaken to a higher version of yourself that is always present here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise the scene—tell your bones, 'You are seen by the I AM and kept in perfect health.' Then sink into the feeling of being wholly cherished, until the memory of the stare fades into calm.
