Kiss the Son Within

Psalms 2:9-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 2 in context

Scripture Focus

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalms 2:9-12

Biblical Context

The psalm presents divine judgment on the proud and invites rulers to wisdom, to serve the LORD with reverence, and to trust in the Son.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the outer decree of power becomes the inner discipline of consciousness. The rod of iron and the potter's vessel are inner forces: thought patterns that shatter the old self when they clash with the impenetrable certainty of the I AM. The call to kings and judges is a call to you, reader, to become aware of the inner rulers you have allowed to sit on your throne of attention. When you stand in the waking dream and serve the LORD with fear and trembling, you are not fearing a future doom but honoring the inner law that respects the tension between desire and alignment. Kiss the Son, not as an external figure but as your living, inner Christ—the state of perfect union your attention can inhabit. To trust in Him is to trust the I AM behind your thinking. By choosing the feeling of fullness now, you stand beyond the fear of wrath and enter the blessedness of steadfast trust.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the Son as your inner center of awareness. Rehearse the feeling: I AM trusted in Him, and I AM one with the Son, until the sense of alignment remains.
