Read Psalms 2 in context

Scripture Focus

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalms 2:10-12

Biblical Context

Rulers and judges are urged to seek true wisdom by aligning with divine authority. They are to serve with reverence and place their trust in the Son.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the psalm is not pleading with literal kings, but with the states of consciousness that govern your life. Be wise now means awaken to the fact that you are the I AM, the inner king who consults the Law within. The 'kings' and 'judges' are your thoughts and choices; to be instructed is to stop reacting from fear and align with the law of your own being. 'Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling' becomes an invitation to reverent use of imagination—operate from awe while you remain grounded in truth. To 'kiss the Son' is to align with your inner Christ, your inseparable state of divine sonship; it is a conscious act of agreement with the reality already in you. If you suppose loss or wrath, you are merely pulling away from the inner alignment; but if you trust, your life flows with blessing. The final line blesses those who trust in Him, which in Neville's terms means those who assume the reality of the inner Son in their day-to-day life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I am the wise king serving the inner Lord.' Feel the wish fulfilled as trust in the Son within rises in you, here and now.
