Read Psalms 19 in context

Scripture Focus

12Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalms 19:12-14

Biblical Context

Psalm 19:12-14 is a prayer for cleansing from hidden faults, protection from willful sins, and for one’s words and thoughts to be acceptable to God—the source of strength and redemption. It invites turning inward, aligning consciousness with the divine.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the speaker discovers that every fault is a state of consciousness, not a distant circumstance. 'Errors' are misaligned beliefs, and cleansing from 'secret faults' is the turning of attention toward a higher I AM awareness that you already are healthy, true, and free. 'Presumptuous sins' are the desires that would rule you from the mask of ego; when you ask God to keep them from dominion, you are not asking God to act outside you but to withdraw your identification with those thoughts. In this light, uprightness and innocence come not from external obedience but from the inward posture: you choose to dwell in a state where the words you utter and the thoughts you cherish coincide with divine law. The great transgression falls away when your inner speech and heart's intent align with the Creator's reality—your strength and Redeemer within becomes your embodied fact. The psalm becomes a technique for re-seeing life: you invert the sense of fault, you revise your inner weather, and you live from the indwelling I AM who is always listening.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit, breathe, and assume the state 'I am pure' as your baseline. Revise any troubling thought by consenting that it is no longer true, feeling the mouth and heart speak in harmony with divine truth.
