Inner Cry, Inner Hearing

Psalms 18:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 18 in context

Scripture Focus

6In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psalms 18:6

Biblical Context

In distress, the psalmist calls on the LORD and on God; the hearing comes from within the temple, and the cry reaches the divine ear.

Neville's Inner Vision

Distress is a signal that your consciousness has wandered from its throne. When you say you call on the LORD, you are declaring the I AM presence that you are. The LORD you address hears from his temple, your inner sanctuary where attention rests. Your cry coming before Him means your intention is registered in the living mind that you are, and the answer is the return of your own faith. This is not a distant rescue but the awakening of your awareness to know that you are heard by the very consciousness you inhabit. The deliverance you seek is the reconfiguration of your state of being: trust, stillness, and the conviction that supply and safety are within. Practice by assuming you are already attended by this inner presence, and allow the feelings of being heard to swell until they fill your chest with calm assurance.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already heard; in the temple within, feel the answer rising as calm assurance and repeat I am heard until it feels real.
