Inner Dominion Of Psalms 18:41-45

Psalms 18:41-45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 18 in context

Scripture Focus

41They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
42Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
Psalms 18:41-45

Biblical Context

The psalm presents enemies crying for help and finding none. The speaker defeats them and rises to rule over nations, with strangers coming to serve.

Neville's Inner Vision

Seeing the cries as the clamor of fear within you, rest in the I AM and let the call for help dissolve. When you acknowledge that you are the ruler of your inner kingdom, the dust of limitation is blown away by the wind of your unwavering awareness; this is not petition but self-realization. To become the head of the heathen is to claim mastery over every facet of your inner life—desire, habit, circumstance—so they bow to your purpose rather than define you. The strangers who shall serve you are the unfamiliar energies within you that now answer to your dominion. As you dwell in the feeling of already being victorious, outer conditions shift to mirror that inner order: fear recedes, opposition yields, and the sense of separation dissolves into unity with your I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling 'I am the head of my inner kingdom.' Hold it for a minute, then imagine the dust of fear and doubt being blown away by your attention while every inner state bows to your dominion.
