Read Psalms 17 in context

Scripture Focus

7Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
8Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
9From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
Psalms 17:7-9

Biblical Context

The verses plead for God’s loving mercy and protection. They ask to be kept safe from enemies as the believer trusts in the divine right hand.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner narrative, the I AM stands as the right hand that saves. When the psalm speaks of marvelous lovingkindness, it is not about distant mercy but the living awareness that you are already held by God. Trust is not a choice among many; it is the very rhythm of consciousness, and your circumstances bend to the conviction that you are seen, guarded, and sustained by the movement of awareness called I AM. To be kept 'as the apple of the eye' is to fix attention on your spiritual center—the single point of consciousness where God shines brightest. The 'shadow of thy wings' is your inner shelter, a mental space where fear dissolves as you dwell in the sensation of being cherished and protected by your own awakened imagination. The threatening appearances—oppressors, enemies—are only projections for you to reinterpret until they vanish as real in your inner world. Practice by assuming that you are saved by the right hand now, that you live wholly within the shelter of divine awareness, and that your prospects reflect the security of that consciousness, regardless of outer reports.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise your scene. Assume you are saved by the right hand now, and feel the wings wrapping you with protection.
