Biblical Context

Psalm 17:7 asks God to show marvellous lovingkindness to those who trust in Him. It promises protection from those who rise against them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Psalm 17:7 speaks of marvellous lovingkindness granted to those who put their trust in the Lord. In my reading, the 'right hand' is not a distant force but your own I AM—your continuous awareness that saves you from every imagined foe. When you anchor yourself in the state of trust, mercy enters your inner field and all external opposition dissolves by the power of your assumed reality. The verse's call to God to show mercy is a reminder that mercy is not a distant gift but a condition of consciousness you cultivate. You do not beg from lack; you awaken to fullness by assuming you are protected, guided, and saved by the power you already are. Every rising thought of danger becomes a signal to reaffirm your inner certainty: I AM holds me; I am saved by this right hand of awareness. The 'they' who rise up against you are echoes of fear; when you persist in trust that you possess the saving awareness, the outward scene rearranges to reflect your inner act of faith. Mercy then is your inward state made visible.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: close your eyes and declare, 'I am saved by the I AM's right hand.' Dwell in the felt sense of that protection for 2–3 minutes, and let trust settle as your reality in the heart.
