Psalm 16:7-11 speaks to the inner king—my I AM—who counsels me in the night seasons. I bless the LORD as the inner adviser I choose to hear, and I let my reins instruct me when the world is hushed. By deliberately setting the LORD before me, I affirm that the Presence stands at my right hand and I shall not be moved; that is, my inner state remains unmoved by outer tides. With that stance, my heart is glad, my glory rejoiceth, and my flesh rests in hopeful expectancy. The line about not leaving the soul in hell and not suffering the Holy One to see corruption translates into the assurance that no dream or fear can uproot the I AM from its throne in consciousness. The path of life unfolds when I dwell in divine Presence; there, fullness of joy ripens and pleasures abound at the right hand of awareness. This is the practical invitation: feel your I AM here, now, guiding every impression, and let the night seasons become a rehearsal room where your inner counsel becomes your radiant life.
