7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Psalms 16:5-7

Biblical Context

God is my portion and guide; my life rests in His care. I am blessed with pleasant lines and a goodly heritage, guided by inner counsel even in the night.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the words are not about a distant theology but about a state of consciousness. The Lord is your portion; not something outside you, but the activity of awareness you call I AM. When you say, 'The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup,' you are affirming that your supply, your identity, and your destiny are fixed in this present consciousness. The lines that fall in pleasant places are the lines your mind has drawn through steadfast inner conviction. A goodly heritage is the natural harvest of living in unity with the I AM, a heritage you sense as harmony, order, and ease rather than lack. The counsel given you—'thou hast given me counsel'—is the quiet insight that rises in you when you rest in stillness. In the night seasons, your reins instruct you; feelings and intuitions become navigational stars within this inner country. Your job is to maintain this awareness, to stop seeking externally and to dwell in the assurance that you already inhabit your portion, guided by inner wisdom that never vanishes.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, declare 'The LORD is my portion,' and feel it as your own I AM presence; then vividly imagine three scenes where your lines fall in pleasant places—abundant supply, wise counsel, and clear guidance in the night.
