Scripture Focus

10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 16:10-11

Biblical Context

Psalm 16:10-11 promises that God will not abandon the soul and will guide it along the path of life, with His presence bringing fullness of joy and eternal pleasures.

Neville's Inner Vision

Remember, the psalmist speaks not to distant gods but to your own inner I AM. 'Leaving my soul in hell' signals a moment when consciousness forgets its sameness with God and sinks into fear; the Holy One is the indwelling energy of awareness that cannot decay. The promise that God will not suffer this state means your awareness can remain intact through any appearance of separation by simply turning inward. The path of life is revealed as the next movement of consciousness, the choice to align with the I AM rather than with lack or pain. In thy presence is fullness of joy; joy is not earned but awakened by dwelling in awareness that already enjoys presence. At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore: the right-hand image marks the seat of confident assumption and immutable truth within you. Thus resurrection is waking to the eternal life that you have always possessed, a life fed by the unending presence of God within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume the state of dwelling in the I AM now; revise fear into trust and feel it real by picturing the inner path lit with the Holy One's presence. Let joy fill your awareness as you affirm, I am in God, and God is in me.
