Scripture Focus

3He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Psalms 15:3

Biblical Context

The verse calls one to refrain from backbiting, doing evil to a neighbor, or taking up a reproach against them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the soul, every neighbor is a reflection of your own state of consciousness. To backbite with the tongue is to permit fearful chatter to shape your inner atmosphere; to do evil to your neighbor is to act from a hidden judgment you have not owned; to take up a reproach against another is to rehearse separation as if it were true. The psalmist is inviting you to guard your inner sentences, for your world is born from the images you accept within. When you know you are I AM, you understand you are the author of every scene; the ‘neighbor’ you fear or blame is but a projection of a part of yourself waiting to be loved into alignment. By choosing language and thought that honors life, you cultivate a vibration that cannot entertain accusations or damage; your mind rests in a quiet unity, and the outer world mirrors that dignity. In practice, see yourself as whole, and let speech flow from love rather than fear, so that your life becomes an expression of integrity.

Practice This Now

Assume the state of your vision that you are one with the I AM and your words are true, kind, and harmless toward your neighbor. Feel that truth here and now until it becomes your habitual way of speaking.
