Inner Healing of the Heart

Psalms 147:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 147 in context

Scripture Focus

3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalms 147:3

Biblical Context

The verse promises inner healing for a wounded heart, mending existing wounds.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the I AM is the healer. The broken heart is a state of consciousness whose wounds are not fixed in the outer world but in how you feel and tell the story to yourself. When you acknowledge the I AM as the source of all life, healing begins; the wound loosens and the heart is bound up with a light of grace. Mercy already resides in your awareness: you simply revise the scene, choosing wholeness over suffering, and feel your life reorganize around that new state. The healing described in the psalm is the mind's conversion to a new state of consciousness where the past no longer governs the present. Do not seek healing externally; awaken to the inner I AM who knows you as complete. Your felt sense of wholeness is the evidence of the binding up of wounds, and the gentle restoration that follows is the natural fruit of this inner conviction.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly with your hand on your chest and repeat the I am the healed I AM. See the heart being bound up in light and feel the relief as healing is already accomplished.
