Scripture Focus

7Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
8Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Psalms 143:7-8

Biblical Context

The verses comprise a plea for speedy transmission of understanding, a confession of worn spirit, and a request for guidance to walk the right path, with a morning sense of grace.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 7–8 invites us to hear speedily and admit a faltering spirit, yet in this Neville lens it is a call to awaken the I AM within. When you imagine the face of God as your own consciousness, to 'hide not thy face' means cease listening to fear and rest in the presence that never leaves you. 'Lovingkindness in the morning' becomes the atmosphere you allow at first light—a grace you consciously choose to dwell in. 'In thee do I trust' is trust in the I AM, not in shifting external conditions; trust is a decision to entertain that which you desire as already true. 'Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk' becomes an act of assumption: the way is known in consciousness, and you step into it by feeling the direction as if it is already given. Lift up my soul unto thee indicates elevating the entire sense of self into a higher, unified state where guidance arises from within. The practice is not struggle but alignment with divine idea, turning prayers into immediate perception that sweetness follows action.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and assume: I am guided in every step; the path is clear because the I AM within me knows the way. Feel the certainty become your moving daily energy.
