Scripture Focus

10Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psalms 143:10

Biblical Context

Psalm 143:10 asks to be taught God's will, recognizing God as the source and His Spirit as good, and to be led into inner uprightness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the verse as a statement of inner petition to the I AM that you are, asking for instruction in your own state of consciousness. When you assent that God is your God and that His Spirit is good, you are not seeking outer directions but aligning with a certainty that the will of God already resides within you. The 'land of uprightness' is your inner order—a state where decisions flow from that divine alignment rather than from fear, doubt, or old habits. Your imagination is the instrument by which this is brought about: you imagine yourself acting in harmony with divine will, and your feelings follow; your external events reflect a revised inner state. The act of asking becomes a turning of attention toward the I AM, and every moment of fidelity to that assumption tightens the grip of the inner conviction that you are led, guided, and kept in good spirit.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume 'I am led by God's will now,' and feel the inner guidance. Stay with that assumption for a few minutes until the feeling of being guided is real.
